In Residence at Cove Park
In the spring of 2019, I was lucky enough to undertake a residency at Cove Park funded by Fife Contemporary. I applied with the intention of growing my collection of tools that I could work with in metal, but also across other mediums. I had always enjoyed the fluidity between the expressive hand drawn markings on paper and how that could be translated into different materials and into three dimensions.
I hardly took any jewellery tools with me, it was all about developing and new ideas and spending dedicated time of research; I didn’t want to be limited by working in metal. I took a variety of materials with me from papers, pigments and precious metal dust, working them into drawings and sketchbooks.
